How ERP Pricing Works in Egypt: A Practical Cost Comparison
A clear guide to the real cost of ERP in Egypt, with published benchmarks for Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics, ERPNext and SAP Business One, plus FLAPP pricing and a transparent worked example.
How ERP pricing works in Egypt
Short answer: an ERP price is rarely just a licence. The real cost normally includes the software subscription, implementation, cloud hosting, support and maintenance, plus any customisation or integration your operation needs.
That is why a product can look inexpensive on a pricing page and become more costly after user counts, data migration, training and partner services are added. Compare vendors using a three-year total cost, not one monthly number.
- EGP 6k–16kFLAPP monthly subscriptionOne range covering every user in a 4–25 user factory team, depending on modules and operating scope.
- Every user in the package4 to 25 usersNo separate user licence is added inside the agreed package.

- 02ImplementationProcess design, configuration, migration, testing, training and go-live.
- 03Cloud and storageHosting, backups, data capacity and test environments.
- 04Support and maintenanceDefect fixes, upgrades, response times and post-go-live ownership.
- 05Customisation and integrationSpecial reports, Egyptian e-invoicing, banks, ecommerce, machinery and other systems.
- 06Internal effortYour team's time for data cleanup, access reviews, decisions and change management.
Published ERP price benchmarks
| System | Subscription or licence | Implementation cost | Add to the budget |
|---|---|---|---|
| Odoo Standard | About €24.90–€31.10 per user/month depending on promotion and billing | A common planning range is $8k–$30k, approximately EGP 400k–1.5m | Training, customisation and custom-code maintenance; Odoo.sh may be extra for custom development |
| Odoo Custom | About €37.40–€46.80 per user/month | Usually starts in the same range and can rise with customisation and integrations | Optional Odoo.sh resources and custom-code maintenance |
| Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central | $80/user/month for Essentials; $110 for Premium with manufacturing | Separate Microsoft-partner quote; there is no universal public implementation fee | Migration, extensions, integrations and local taxes; USD prices billed annually |
| ERPNext | Open-source licence is free; Frappe Cloud advertises entry hosting from $5/month | Internal-team cost for self-implementation or a partner quote; no universal fee | Production capacity, functional support, customisation and administration |
| SAP Business One | SAP does not publish one global list price; partner quote required | Separate SAP-partner quote based on scope | Licence type, database, hosting, add-ons, maintenance and support |
| FLAPP | EGP 6k–16k/month covering every user from 4 to 25 users | A clear scope-based quote shown before contracting, not hidden in the subscription | Only special integrations or out-of-product development |
Odoo pricing: what is included?
Odoo charges for each paying internal backend user. Its official pricing page says Standard and Custom include the apps, standard hosting, support and maintenance. The subscription does not include implementation, Odoo expert services or custom-code maintenance, and Odoo.sh resources for custom developments can cost extra.
At review time, the page showed approximately €24.90–€31.10 per user/month for Standard and €37.40–€46.80 for Custom, depending on billing and the displayed introductory discount.
Odoo publishes official implementation Success Packs, beginning at $493 for a very small pack and rising through $3,060, $5,950, $10,625 and $21,250 as hours and scope increase. For practical projects that include discovery, migration, training and go-live, Odoo-partner references commonly place small and mid-sized implementations around $8,000–$30,000. At a rounded EGP 50/USD planning rate, that is approximately EGP 400,000–1.5 million. An Egyptian partner quote may be lower or higher depending on scope.
Worked example: 25 backend users
- 25 users × €24.90 = €622.50/month.
- At a working exchange rate of EGP 58.8 per euro, that is about EGP 36,600/month before implementation.
- If the FLAPP quote for this scope is EGP 11,000/month, FLAPP is approximately 70% lower than the Odoo subscription in this example.
- Odoo implementation may add approximately EGP 400,000–1.5 million, depending on scope and partner. FLAPP implementation is quoted separately and transparently after the factory scope is confirmed.
This is not a universal result. Odoo may be cheaper for a very small user count, while Custom, implementation and extensive development can widen the gap. Recalculate with your real user count and the current Central Bank of Egypt exchange rate.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 pricing
Microsoft licenses Business Central per named user. Microsoft's official licensing guidance lists Essentials at $80/user/month and Premium at $110/user/month. Premium adds manufacturing and service management. USD prices are billed annually.
For 25 Premium users:
- 25 × $110 = $2,750/month.
- At a working rate of EGP 52 per dollar, that is about EGP 143,000/month in licences before partner implementation and tax.
Dynamics can still be the right choice for a larger group that values Microsoft 365, Power BI and Azure integration, multi-company governance and an established enterprise ecosystem. Price should be compared together with scope and control requirements.
Is ERPNext really free?
Yes—the ERPNext software licence is open source. But the official ERPNext pricing page separates hosting from implementation. Frappe Cloud advertises entry shared hosting from $5/month, but that is a technical entry point, not a guaranteed production budget for a factory.
Budget for suitable compute, backup, monitoring, implementation, migration, functional support and customisation. ERPNext can be highly economical when an organisation has the technical capacity to operate it. Without that capacity, partner and administration costs matter.
How SAP Business One is priced
SAP Business One is partner-sold and SAP does not publish one global list price suitable for an Egyptian budget. The accurate answer is therefore: request an itemised local partner quote.
Independent market estimates sometimes place cloud subscriptions around $95–$250 per user/month, but this is not an SAP list price. Do not use it for procurement without a certified-partner proposal covering licence type, database, cloud, implementation, add-ons and maintenance.
How FLAPP pricing works
FLAPP's current factory subscription is EGP 6,000–16,000/month, covering every user in a 4–25 user team. The final price depends on modules, sites, data volume and operating complexity.
One subscription combines three recurring layers:
- 01User licencesAccess to the agreed FLAPP modules for every user inside the 4–25 user package.
- 02Cloud and storageStandard hosting, data storage, backups and managed cloud operation.
- 03Support and maintenanceStandard operational support, platform maintenance, fixes and agreed updates.
Large migrations, special integrations, out-of-product development or extensive onsite training may require a separate implementation line. Those items should be defined before contracting, not discovered after go-live.
A fair three-year comparison checklist
- 01Annual licencesPaid user counts, licence types and the price of adding people.
- 02Year-one deliveryDiscovery, migration, training, testing and go-live.
- 03Running costHosting, storage, backups, support, maintenance and upgrades.
- 04Cost of changeConsultant day rates and custom-code maintenance after upgrades.
- 05Renewal and exitCurrency, tax, renewal uplift and data export terms.
Three-year ERP cost = year-one implementation + 36 months of subscriptions + expected support and change costs + internal team effort.
ERP pricing FAQ
How much does ERP cost in Egypt?
There is no single figure. An open-source deployment can begin with low-cost hosting, while enterprise licences can reach hundreds of thousands of Egyptian pounds per month before implementation. Start with users, modules, sites and integrations, then model three years.
Is FLAPP always cheaper than Odoo?
Not in every case. The approximately 70% difference in this guide appears in the stated 25-user scenario, using Odoo Standard's published rate and a FLAPP quote of EGP 11,000/month. At the minimum user count the gap may narrow, so recalculate for the actual scope.
Does an ERP subscription include implementation?
Not necessarily. Odoo, Microsoft and ERPNext separate implementation or rely on partners. FLAPP combines the licence, cloud, and standard support and maintenance; any special delivery or integration outside the agreed scope is shown separately.
What is FLAPP's monthly price?
The current range is EGP 6,000–16,000/month and covers every user from 4 to 25 users. The final figure depends on modules, sites, data volume and integrations.
What is the most useful number before buying ERP?
Ask for the three-year total cost and a written list of inclusions, exclusions and price-change rules.
